Steve Locklin

Steve comes from Mobile Alabama where he was equally inspired by deep south R&B music and the Beatles. He left two days after graduating high school for New York and from there continued to play in show bands up and down the East coast. In the mid 70’s he moved to Macon Georgia to begin a recording project at Capricorn Records. Hit the road again playing show clubs mainly in the south and finally settled in Atlanta where he co-started the MPG band that recorded original music in Muscle Shoals Alabama and later signed and released an album on A&M Records. He is the newest member in the RPM band and is right at home.
Gary Smith
DRUMS
Gary Smith found a passion for music and rhythm at an early age. Growing up in Southern California he was influenced by early 70’s singer/songwriter style music and all music in general. He learned to play drums in elementary school, but really pursued it as a passion in high school and beyond. He started playing in original music bands throughout college and began making albums and recordings. Fast forward 30 plus years and Gary still has his passion for drums, rhythm and music. He has a rich history throughout the Phoenix music scene as well as the current members of the RPM Band and being the newest member will be a great addition to the band and team.
